SYNOPSIS:
Art Connective Gallery is calling for 2D and 3D works of art, in all mediums for our 1st Annual Members Only Group Exhibition! You must have an active membership (three different options) to enter the call for art. We will be checking to make sure you have a current membership enter and do not have membership will not be accepted to the exhibit.
USE CODE: ACMEMBER to enter and receive free entry for three different artworks.
Submit your original or limited edition artwork that has been created within the past three years that showcases your medium & style as an artist.
IMPORTANT DATES:
ONLINE & IN PERSON EXHIBIT OPENING : Thursday, February 9th 2023 (a selection of work will be featured in person in the studio with a small opening - all accepted work will be featured online)
NO DROP OFF! The group shows are ONLINE! Your work will be shown on our website, Facebook, Tik Toc, Instagram & newsletter. Be sure to include your instagram handle when you enter your work! NOTE: A small selection of artwork will be showcased in person. You will be contacted before the opening date if your work is selected for this.
SHOW CLOSES: Saturday, April 15th, 2022 - NO PICK UP REQUIRED! (ONLY IF YOUR WORK IS ON DISPLAY IN PERSON - YOU WILL RECEIVE DIRECTIONS IF YOUR ARTWORK IS CHOSEN FOR IN PERSON DISPLAY)
JUROR & PRIZES: There will be three prizes/awards given out for this group exhibition. Best in Show, 2nd Place & 3rd Place. Awarded artwork will be juried by Katie Ries (b. 1981) who is an artist and educator who makes drawings, prints, objects, and events about the relationships between people and place. A graduate of the University of Tennessee – Knoxville (MFA) and Colorado College (BA), she is an Associate Professor of Art at St. Norbert College. Best in Show will receive a cash prize of $100 and a free portfolio review($100 value). Richeson Gallery Gift cards for 2nd Place & 3rd Place. Awards will be announced after February 28th, 2023
SUBMITTING IMAGES:
Be sure to resize the images you are submitting. You do not need to submit a full resolution jpg (if you having issues uploading a file it is most likely too large or too small). Keep file size no larger than 3000 pixels on longest side at 80dpi. Submit either, jpg, pdf or png files.
COMMISSION/ARTWORK SALES:
All artwork must be available for sale. Artists can determine their own pricing. Artists receive 70% of the sale after sales tax is deducted. The non profit retains 30%. The commission fee go towards marketing, advertising, staff and general maintaining of the non-profit organization.
DELIVERY OF SOLD WORK:
Artists are responsible for shipping their artwork to the purchaser within 7 days of a sale. You will be notified via the email you provide on your entry form as soon as your work sells. Make sure you add a shipping fee into your artwork price to cover that cost - we recommend $40-$50 added to your pricing to cover boxing and shipping. Please ship with UPS or FEDEX and insure the work if it is valued at over $100.

SALE OF ART: If a potential customer reaches out to you while the artwork is on display with Art Connective you, the artist, agree to have them contact us for the sale of the artwork. If you process a sale during the time the work is showcased on our platforms, you the artist, agree to notify Art Connective immediately of the sale and pay the 30% commission fee to Art Connective Inc within 30 days of the closing date of the show.
COMMISSION PAID:
All payments will go out within 45 days after the CLOSING date of the show. Checks will be mailed to the address you enter on your entry form. The price you list when you enter your artwork is also the price that will be listed on your artwork title card. You will receive 70% of the sale after sales tax is deducted. If a customer is interested in your work but looking to negotiate the price the gallery we will reach out to you FIRST and you can decide if you'd like to lower the price.
COPYRIGHT:
All artists are responsible for ensuring their subject matter does not include any copyright infringements. The artist waives Artless Bastard, Inc of all legal responsiblities if an artist is challenged by another party for copyright infringement. By submitting your artowrk you are confirming you ahve secured any required releases and are not in violation of any laws.
MEDIA & PROMOTIONAL CONSENT:
All artists agree that images of their accepted artwork may be used for event marketing & promotion on our website and social media outlets.
